About Garuda Brands | Garuda Brands
Gradua Brands - Founder and CTO, Jay Madhav
Jay helped Boeing Defense Systems by designing optical mechanisms, initial phase of Laser-JDAM, and for BCA, worked on implementation of LEDs in the interiors of twin-aisle commercial airplanes and provided Optical Simulations. Prior to Boeing, Jay worked for Northrop-DSD on IRCM, ABI 1 Lazer, and helped other IRCM, where he designed several commercial and industrial optical products such as Scene & Target Generator, Optical Far Scanner, Ink Jet Printers, Parameter (pca) in load of miniatures, and ultimate separation of blood from plasma while operating at 30 g dynamic forces, which demanded high performance LEDs for source. He hold multiple patents.
Garuda Brands is a name that you will always trust with a 90 days of limited warranty! Our goal is to put the "fun" in functional fashion. We know that looking stylish can make your whole day better; that's why we’re committed to being your source for the newest trends while making the safety as main goal.
How does the Tunnel Vision-LazerBuster (TVLB) work?
Very simple, keep any color Laser Beam out of the Tunnel to keep what the Pilot wants to see within the Tunnel. Mount TVLB on your regular eye glasses just before Airplane landings. When you are encountering Lasers, steer the head slightly away to make sure that the Laser is kept out of the viewing angle.
This video shows how the side view will be blocked and only center part of the Lens will give clear vision, just like as you approach a tunnel when you drive through. Total Viewing angle is 60 degrees.
What makes our product special?
- Other brands of Laser Goggles work well for only one type of laser, such as red, blue, green, etc. They are not effective with other colors Lasers.
- Laser Goggles range from $200 to $900/each. You would need to purchase several for multiple colors to provide full protection.
- Laser Goggles reduce the clear visibility for normal viewing.
- Present solution is good for all Laser types without much of attenuation for better throughput viewing.
- This is a Patent Protected product requires just one set for all color lasers.
TunnelVision LazerBuster is a good companion, light weight and comes with Limited 90 days warranty.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to your top questions
Laser strike eyewear is specialized eyewear designed to protect pilots from harmful laser beams directed at aircraft. These laser strikes can cause temporary blindness or disorientation, posing significant safety risks during critical phases of flight. Our eyewear filters out specific laser wavelengths, ensuring pilots maintain clear vision and safety.
Our laser safety eyewear is engineered to absorb and block common laser wavelengths used in laser pointers, such as green, red, and blue lasers. By filtering out these harmful beams, the eyewear prevents laser light from impairing the pilot’s vision without affecting overall visibility.
No, our eyewear is designed to maintain high optical clarity. It selectively filters out harmful laser light while allowing essential visible light to pass through. This ensures that pilots can see cockpit instruments and external environments clearly, even during night flights.
Yes, our laser safety eyewear is compatible with most prescription glasses. We also offer options for prescription laser safety lenses to provide a more integrated solution for pilots requiring vision correction.
Our eyewear protects against common laser pointer wavelengths, specifically:
• Green lasers at 532 nm
• Red lasers at 650 nm
• Blue lasers at 445 nm
Please refer to the product specifications for detailed information on protection levels for each wavelength.
Absolutely. Our laser safety eyewear meets and exceeds industry standards for optical quality and laser protection. They are rigorously tested to ensure they provide effective protection without compromising visual performance.
Constructed with high-quality materials, our eyewear is both durable and lightweight. The lenses are scratch-resistant, and the frames are designed to withstand the demanding environments pilots may encounter.
To ensure longevity and optimal performance:
• Clean the lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth.
• Use mild lens cleaning solutions if necessary.
• Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
• Store the eyewear in its protective case when not in use.
